Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts, no sign-in and nothing to fill in. Install the App and open it.

How do I register for an event?

Open the event and tap Register. The official event website opens inside the App and handles your registration. For registration questions, email info@qitaf-edu.qa.

The content looks out of date

The App updates itself whenever Qitaf publishes a change. To check right away, pull down on the events list, the event home or the agenda. Make sure you are connected to the internet and have the latest version of the App from the store.

Does the App work without internet?

Yes. The App keeps the content it last downloaded, so the agenda and every other screen still open in a hall with a weak signal. Connect when you can to receive the latest updates.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

iPhone: Settings › Notifications › QITAF Events.

Android: Settings › Apps › QITAF Events › Notifications.

The App works fully with notifications turned off.

How do I change the language?

Tap the language switch in the top bar, or use the menu. The screen switches between Arabic and English where you are.

How do I switch between light and dark?

Use the theme switch in the menu. The App remembers your choice and does not follow your phone’s own setting. Inside an event, screens take that event’s own colours.

A session’s status looks wrong

Times are shown in Doha time wherever you are. The Now, Finished and Upcoming labels are worked out from your phone’s clock, so make sure its date and time are set automatically.

A link or the WhatsApp button does not open

Email, phone and WhatsApp buttons open the matching app on your device. If that app is not installed, use the details shown on the screen directly.

Downloading the sponsorship file

The file size is shown next to the button. At the venue we recommend Wi-Fi. The file opens in your device’s document viewer.

What data does the App collect?

Nothing that identifies you: no accounts, forms, ads or analytics. The App only needs the basic technical information every internet connection involves. The Privacy Policy explains it in full.

How do I delete my data?

There is no account to delete. Everything the App keeps is on your device — clear the App’s data in your device settings, or uninstall it. For any other request about your data, email us.

I spotted incorrect information

If a name, time or detail looks wrong, email us with the screen and the correction. Corrections reach the App without you needing to update it.

Thank you for using QITAF Events.
